About

In 1976, Jim McCormick built one of the most renowned waterski sites in the world. Over 30 years later it is still famous for its unrivaled skiing performance. Jim started by building just one lake and within 2 years he had built 3 lakes purposefully designed for tournament waterskiing.

Jim had always envisioned of one day building upon this existing facility by installing a cable system that would pull skiers and riders without the use of a boat. In 2008, with the help of his son Michael, his vision was brought to life. The result: one of the best cable parks in the world!

Jim and Michael pride themselves on providing a cable park that is ‘for the riders’. It encompasses a laid back rural feel with the advantage of being close to the city of Tampa.

The cable rotates clockwise which is great for all the regular footed riders. It is approximately eight feet higher than existing cables in the US, and consequently, riders are able to get more lift resulting in bigger air tricks!

The cable and boat lakes are designed around a center island which eliminates rollers and rider chop. The fresh and offbeat range of kickers, sliders and rails allows for a ride unmatched by any other cable park in the world.

The additional Rixen 2 tower system known as the ‘easy start’ or Lil Bro is designed specifically for beginners and kids to speed up the transition from learner to competent rider, making the main cable seem less of a hurdle.

If you’re a skiing or wakeboard enthusiast but prefer the thrill of riding behind the boat, the ski school offers single lessons to hourly boat hire with your own personal driver and coach along with the best Nautique towboats in the world.

Between the cable park and the ski school, you are sure to find an activity that is right for you whether you are an anxious beginner or a seasoned professional. Let Jim, Michael and the staff at McCormick’s create a unique riding experience for you!
